Meet Chef Joyce!

Let's put our respective food on the table. Oh, you don't have any? Well, that's why you need me!

After 24 years in the corporate world, I decided to stop commuting and focus my energy into doing something that I truly enjoy. A seed was planted several years ago by another local chef when I attended a home cooking party and learned about the personal chef profession. I have always loved to cook. My parents instilled an appreciation of food - my mother was an excellent cook and baker, and I started learning from her before I could see over the counter. My father was an avid gardener, and I grew up with fresh homegrown fruits and vegetables of every type.

Becoming a personal chef has been a great way to bring together a love of cooking, experimenting, cookbook reading, and entertaining and share it with many more people. To accomplish this, I have graduated from the Culinary Business Academy, which is affiliated with the United States Personal Chef Association (USPCA). To keep abreast of culinary trends and continue to expand my skills and knowledge, I take cooking classes periodically, and I attend the USPCA's annual conference for three days of seminars and training with several hundred other personal chefs from across the country. Later in 2008, I will be taking a class at the Culinary Institute of America in New York - a world renowned school of the culinary arts.

Thanks for taking a minute to get to know me. I hope to share my world of food with you soon.
