How does a personal chef service work?

First, I’ll meet with you and provide a complimentary consultation to discuss your food preferences and dietary needs. Based on this, I’ll create a custom menu. On your selected cooking day, I will shop and buy fresh, quality ingredients. Using my own cooking equipment and your kitchen appliances, your entrees will be prepared, properly cooled, and packaged for the refrigerator and freezer in your desired proportions, with labels that provide heating instructions. You’ll come home to the aroma of freshly prepared food and a sparkling clean kitchen.

How much food is prepared in one day?

A "standard" cooking day is the preparation of five entrees and several side dishes, each with four servings. This is a total of 20 individual servings. The number of servings can be adjusted if you need more or less food at one time. Since many people still eat out occasionally, this amount of food will last from two to four weeks on average.

Cooking in your home.

Health Department regulations require personal chefs to prepare the food in the client's home or in a commercial kitchen. By using your home kitchen, the cost of the service is much lower. All equipment (pots, pans, utensils, etc.) are provided, and all containers for packaging the food are included in the fee. Arrangements for entering your home are made when the service is contracted.
